Job Title: GIS Service Engineer
The position of GIS Service Engineer involves erecting, commissioning and maintaining High Voltage (HV) Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) equipment in Qatar. Key accountabilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
·Erection and erection supervision of new HV GIS equipment on customer sites;
·Emergency repair and routine maintenance of HV GIS on customer sites;
·Providing commissioning support for new HV GIS equipment;
·Providing training and technical support to the customer’s technical staff;
·Planning of work and logistics arrangements;
·Customer liaison;
·Documentation and reports, as required to complete the tasks described above; and
·Management of own staff and subcontractors involved in the tasks described above.
General Requirements
·Be an experienced Engineer who can work, plan and problem solve independently;
·Have a diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
·Experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required;
·Site erection experience will be a strong advantage;
·Computer literacy and fluency in English is essential;
·Be an analytical thinker; and
·Be able to work under pressure, handle stress and have the ability to use own initiative.
